VIDEOGRAPHY SHOWREEL

This showreel is a mixture documentary, conference, educational and interview cuts from my work on the HSE website Drugs.ie. All of the videography was shot using a Canon EOS c100 Mark II, with raw footage edited in Adobe premiere overlayed with After Effects compositing.

Projects showcased:

Department of Health Conference, Drugs.ie – National Youth Media Awards, Alcohol.ie – Drinking Guidelines, HIQA – Service User Confidentiality eLearning.

Below are some more examples of my videography and editing work

SMART Recovery – Cost-Benefit Analysis [eLearning]

As part of my role at Drugs.ie, I delivered this redesigned/updated eLearning (from previous American material) content as part of a rollout to national addiction service providers.

This was part of a series developed in-house to help train staff to facilitate SMART Recovery over Drugs.ie Moodle platform.

I was tasked with updating the overall look and presentation, along with developing scripts/storyboards/video and audio recording/editing and composting.

Testimonials for SMART Recovery Training include:

“Very informative and enjoyable. I would be interested in further modules as they become available in the future.”

“Extremely comprehensive training, easy to access and very user friendly.”

“The training was excellent. The presentation style was easy to understand and the information flowed sequentially. I found it very informative.”

Down Syndrome Ireland  – Social Innovation Funding

Funding is vitally imported to Down Syndrome Ireland as it helps to provide necessary support for projects that help improve the lives of it’s members – during a staff meeting I heard that our team applications team was engaging with reThinkIreland for funding through their social innovation category.

To help them with securing this funding (which they did), I spoke with the Head of Employment,  Aoife Gaffney about creating a short video piece to supplement the entry.

Down Syndrome Ireland – Ability Programme

To showcase the amazing work that Down Syndrome Ireland is doing to get people with Down syndrome into the workforce I was asked to create a short feature that highlight what the Ability Programme is all about.

The challenge was to show how this pioneering  programme  breaks down barriers and provides people with Down syndrome access to meaningful employment opportunities.

International Recovery Month – DRUGS.IE FEATURE

September is International Recovery Month when people around the world participate in events to increase awareness about recovery – I was asked to record the new coordinator Paul Duff, this was his first time in front of a camera and he was incredibly nervous as this was to be used to introduce him to a wider audience across the country.

For this piece, I develop a simple script for Paul along with helping him with his interview technique – this project was shot on a Canon EOS c100 Mark II using a shotgun mic, edited in Adobe premiere overlayed with After Effects compositing.

University College Cork Rag Week 2018 – DRUGS.IE FEATURE

Part of my work at Drugs.ie is to collaborate with external service providers, in order to promote health awareness. I developed this feature along with some of the health services that were present at UCC rag week.

HSE Self-Assessment Scenario tool – ask about alcohol

This video is one part of a wider production series for a self-assessment scenario tool which is housed on Alcohol.ie.  This online tool is to help access one’s consumption of alcohol.

ANA LIFFEY DRUG PROJECT – Strategic Plan Launch 2018/2020

I was asked to film Tony Duffin CEO of The Ana Liffey Drug Project at the launch of the organisations new Strategic Plan “Safer From Harm” 2018 – 2020.

I also had the privilege to develop the print design for the Strategic Plan, which can be seen in the print section of this site.
